What is the difference between Islamic fundamentalism & Christian fundamentalism?

Both religions kill in the name of their God
Both religions advocate conformity to strict social rules regarding dress, behaviour, music, food, religion…
Both inhibit freedom of individuality
Both repeal the rights of women
Both believe in promoting religious education over science based education
Both sets of religions have very dictatorial traits…ie there is little room for interpretation…

Therefore, why are American convserative Christians so against the Islamic faith…they basically believe in the same way of life!

Why are so many Americans concerned that Obama will introduce the Islamic faith into America? I heard crazy things such as ‘Obama will make all women wear burkas’

People kill in the name of their religion. The religion does not kill in the name of God.
Yes that is true to social rules.
My religion allows me to be as individual as I wish. Since you know less about Islam than a Muslim you are assuming.
Islam gives women rights other religions may not. We can own property, be industrial, have a business, work, get an education and much more.
Islam scholars know science very well. Unlike other religions our scholars study many other religions and science.
The Muslims follow the Quran, period.
And I don’t know why Americans are so scared of us except political propaganda always breeds contempt to further their (politicians) agenda.
Btw. while I enjoy wearing a hejab in public, which is a head covering,
I would never be compelled to wear it and I will never wear a Burka.

The Quran says: “There is no compulsion in religion.” So while people may try to say others must do this or that, unless I feel its right I don’t have to do it because to be forced would mean I was not sincere and sincerity is the very commitment of being a religious person.
