Why is contemporary Christian music talk more about God than it does about Jesus?
esp. when Jesus is the only name under heaven and Earth by which you can be saved. I hardly hear his name mentioned when I consider the thousands of words written in the name of contemporary Christianity. If Christian musicians are really serious about it, why do they hide behind the less offensive “God” thing? How much evangelism do they actually do?
Other monotheistic religions refer to their deity as “God”. Shouldn’t the CCM musicians be a little more distinctive?
Modern church music suffers from the same problem to a large degree, but I am mostly talking about the most popular CCM bands.
Because it is not of God or for the Lord Jesus Christ.Very little in the mainstream “churches” remotely resembles anything in Scripture.
