Contemporary Christian Music Labels

Have you ever thought a “christian” is hypocritical because he doesn’t only listen to hymns?
I’ve been told over and over by a certain group that certain music is bad, and I’ve even heard stories of people saying “Why would I want to be a Christian. Their music sounds exactly like mine.” This was referring to the christian music labeled “contemporary.”
What do you think? Contemporary music or hymns?
If you are being told over and over by a certain group that certain music is bad, and you dont agree with that, then why are you still around them (if you are)?
If you dont agree with a group, you leave it or you cut off contact with it.
