Gospel Music Gaithers
This is a question about music (Need a carcasian perspective)?
I have recently been given the duty to work with a Lutheran church that wants a Gospel Choir. I told them up front that I like all kinds of gospel music and we will be doing more than the Gaithers southern gospel collection. (I will be honest, this is a 99.9 percent carcasian church). This church is very rigid in its style of worship. (I just want to experiment to see how far they will go).
Do you think this song is a little to “gospelized” for a carcasian Luthern church. I like the Gaither’s but I am looking to take this choir into a variety of musical directions. I am considering this tone below. if you listen, it will only be 5 mins of your life.

GO THERE…but if you go there, go there MUCH slower and in very slight degrees of alteration. I understand your anxiousness to ‘explore’ and FEEL differences in musical approaches and I AGREE with your plan…but you won’t have a good result if you take it there THIS fast.
