Would you be interested in reading a book about the history of British Gospel music?

There is a wide variety of black music imported in the Uk from the Caribbean such as Reggae,Ska,Calypso, Gospel music in the British black churches is full of history but seldom receives publicity.

Good question Steve. Yes I would be interested in reading such a book, but it would obviously have to cover more than just the music. It would have to include when African Caribbeans came over to Britain from the 1950s, which is when Pentecostal churches with predominantly Caribbean congregations came into prominence in this country. From memory, the excellent book “Windrush” by Mike and Trevor Phillips mentioned in detail this recent history.
