Battered sword
held in a iron gloved hand
Dipped into the dark well of lies
spatters words formed by deceit
on the pure white book
of truth
Fed to the mass
this self serving gospel
perverted and alluring
music to their ears
a feast for their eyes
Truth on the run
chased by a pack of lies
snarling and nipping
keeping deception alive
Breathless truth seeking refuge
keeping hope alive
finds sanctuary
in a child’s
mind
